More About Karen

Karen earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Arkansas State University.

Since earning her LCSW in 2003, she has served in a wide variety of roles—from outpatient therapy and hospice care to school-based mental health and inpatient trauma recovery.

Karen is a founding member of the International Association for Sand Tray Therapy and has provided supervision and mentorship to numerous social work interns and Licensed Masters Social Workers (LMSW) towards earning their LCSW. 

She is CPR-certified and has longstanding training in crisis intervention, disaster response, and HIV/AIDS education and counseling.
