Approach
Healing is a Journey - Kami is a pattern disruptor, a healer, and a space holder for all things sacred. She aims to create a safe place to land, so you can feel your feelings and be heard. Therapy is hard, but it’s not as hard as what you’ve already been through. Something you’ll hear from Kami often in sessions is “stuff can be two things”. Healing is a journey (that is not a straight line) and she’s here to walk alongside you on that path.
More About Kami
Kami comes from an extremely blended family and believes in the power of love over everything. That’s why working with families and kiddos is something she is passionate about.
While she’s a therapist, she’s also a woman, wounded child, daughter, warrior, space holder, and friend. “I feel the same pressures and insecurities as you: but together, we can emerge from the shadows and into the light.”
Kami received her Bachelors of Art in Psychology and her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Henderson State University. She received her Doctorate of Philosophy in Counselor Education from the University of Mississippi.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (Arkansas #P161179), Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (#S2907), and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling at University of North Texas.
